Dr Joanne Nott
BVetMed, MRCVS.
Joanne was born and raised in Plymouth and always loved animals from an early age. In secondary school she knew the veterinary field was her future destiny as it combined both animals and her favourite subject, science. She always had an extra soft spot for cats, growing up with them. In particularly, her first pet, Cindy-a tiny kitten rescued from Woodside cementing a strong animal-human bond and growing up together.
Joanne graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2007 where she met her now husband, Nikolai.
Joanne and Nikolai initially worked in small animal practice in the USA for over 10 years, mainly in Seattle but returned to Plymouth, UK in 2018. They share their home with their two daughters and their BGC (big ginger cat). A local, affectionate RSPCA rescue called Makena. Joanne has a particular interest in feline medicine especially senior cats, and will work towards her Postgraduate Certificate in Feline Medicine in the near future.
In her spare time, Joanne enjoys travel, trying new restaurants, gardening and family days out.
